TRENDING BREXIT- WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR ME?
With all the media coverage of Brexit and discussions about whether it will be hard or soft, we thought
we would ask the Irish people for their views on the issue.
Interestingly, 50% of Irish adults admit to not understanding what the impact of Brexit will be for them personally or for Ireland.
- More women (57%) than men report being uncertain of the personal impact of Brexit
- While 60% of those from the lowest income group acknowledge they do not understand the personal implications of Brexit.
Despite the fact that many people do not understand the likely impact of Brexit, 81% still believe that Britain’s
leaving of the European Union is an issue that Irish people should take seriously.
Furthermore 60% of the public remain concerned that Brexit will have a negative impact on their lives
- With men (64%) and those from the higher income groups (66%) most concerned
